Norway?s Henrik Ibsen and Sweden?s August Strindberg were modern Scandinavia?s most important dramatists. Both have profoundly influenced the course of theater in the 20th and 21st centuries. We will discuss a representative sampling of plays by each author. All readings and discussions will be in English.
