An exploration of computer science for first-year CICS students, focusing on a single topic.
Open to incoming Computer Science majors and students in the CICS Exploratory Track. REGISTRATION AVAILABLE ONLY DURING SUMMER ORIENTATION.
Sections 02, 04, 05, and 07 will address 'Computer Security and Privacy': covering various attacks and countermeasures, current events, and high-level overviews of relevant technologies.
Sections 06, 08, 09, and 10 will address entrepreneurship,entitled 'Dream Big': discussion of the ideas, decisions, and pioneers that historically shaped computing, with perspectives on how we might shape the future.
Section 11 will address 'Artificial Intelligence and Machine Learning': what the real-world applications/problems are and how we can approach them.
Additional sections on other topics may be added during the summer.
