This first year seminar explores how popular culture influences and it is influenced by the work and culture of schools in the United States. It does so by examining the rhetorical power of pop culture and how pop culture texts (e.g. songs, videos, TV shows, TV series, etc.) influence us to believe and act in certain ways.
