Through millions of years of evolution, nature has developed ways to perform amazing tasks like flying, sticking, shooting, jumping, and converting solar energy. Often nature achieves these functions in a unique way, with materials that range from strong and tough to soft and flexible. This seminar will introduce some underlying themes of bioinspiration: where solutions to societal and technological challenges are developed by finding inspiration in nature.
Open to Natural Sciences Freshman with a declared major or on the Natural Sciences Exploratory Track.
