Catalan 321 - Catalan Culture

Survey of modern Catalan culture including its language, literature, art, music, and traditions. Students should have some knowledge of the Catalan or Spanish language. The class will be mainly conducted in Spanish and Catalan, and the readings will be mainly in English. The assignments can be written in English, Spanish or Catalan.

Students should have some elementary knowledge of the Catalan or Spanish language (or an intermediate knowledge of another romance language such as Portuguese, Italian or French).
