A brief introduction to the C programming language for students with a good working knowledge of Java and data structures. This course is good preparation for COMPSCI 230 and courses that use C and C++. Prerequisites: COMPSCI 187 or ECE 242 or permission of instructor. This course is for Computer Science minors and majors only, but it does not count towards either degree.
Open to freshmen & sophomore Computer Science students. COMPSCI 187 or ECE 242 w/ C STUDENTS WHO HAVE TAKEN COMPSCI 230 ARE NOT ELIGIBLE FOR THIS COURSE. COURSE RUNS FOR 6 WEEKS (2/1, 2/8, 2/15, 2/22, 3/1, and 3/8). ADD/DROP THROUGH 2/6. INSTRUCTOR CONSENT REQUIRED TO WITHDRAW 2/7-2/10 ONLY.
