Embedded Computational Systems is a hands-on laboratory for building integrated systems. We develop analytical skills and discuss sensors, motor drivers, I/O, control logic, and operating systems for embedded applications. Students build several individual projects and invent one integrated, semester-long team project.
Open to juniors and seniors who received a grade of 'C' or better in any one of the following courses: COMPSCI 383, 403, M&I-ENG 310, 313, 397B, E&C-ENG 313, 323 or 353. ATTEND FIRST CLASS MEETING. INSTRUCTOR WILL COMBINE STUDENTS WITH COMPLEMENTARY BACKGROUNDS INTO TEAMS. STUDENTS NEEDING SPECIAL PERMISSION MUST REQUEST OVERRIDES VIA THE ON-LINE FORM: https://www.cs.umass.edu/ugrad-education/courses
