We develop analytical skills and discuss sensors, motor drivers, I/O, control logic, and operating systems for embedded applications. Students build several individual projects and invent one integrated, semester-long team project.
Open to students pursuing an MS in COMPSCI, Mechanical Engineering, or Electrical Engineering. ATTEND FIRST CLASS MEETING. INSTRUCTOR WILL COMBINE STUDENTS WITH COMPLEMENTARY BACKGROUNDS INTO TEAMS. STUDENTS NEEDING SPECIAL PERMISSION MUST REQUEST OVERRIDES VIA THE ON-LINE FORM: https://www.cs.umass.edu/ugrad-education/courses
