How computers work, including digital logic, arithmetic, data path, and memory. Students build circuits with prototyping boards; program microcontrollers in assembly language and C to work with various I/O devices. Honors section provides opportunity to work at a deeper level with hardware.
Open to seniors and juniors in Commonwealth Honors College majoring in Computer Science. STUDENTS MUST BE ENROLLED IN COMPSCI 335 OR HAVE COMPLETED COMPSCI 335 WITH A GRADE OF B OR BETTER.
