Design of engineering systems, machines, consumer goods, etc. which acommodate the characteristics of human users, operators and manitaners. Methods for obtaining data about human performance, preferences, tolerances, and group behavior needed in engineering design problems. Case methods used with comprehensive readings in the literature. Student projects relating to human factors in design. Prerequisites: one previous course in human factors and consent of instructor.
