Introduction to core machine learning models and algorithms for classification, regression, dimensionality reduction and clustering with a focus on real-world applications in a variety of computing contexts (desktop/cluster/cloud). Requires the use of Python.
Open to Computer Science Undergraduates who have completed COMPSCI 383 and MATH 235 with a grade of C or better. LECT 01 FOR UNDERGRADS; LECT 02 FOR GRADS. STUDENTS MAY REQUEST TO TAKE MATH 235 LINEAR ALGEBRA AS A CO-REQUISITE WITH INSTRUCTOR PERMISSION. SEATS HELD IN LECT 02 FOR INCOMING STUDENT REGISTRATION.
