The purpose of this course is to introduce students to the basic concepts of de-democratization, governance and legal reason under the current hegemony of neoliberalism. The traditional modern rationality of the Nation-State, as known for Western societies, has undergone profound structural changes under the current hegemony of neoliberal reason; with both economic and political consequences. This course will explore the sociological and ontological consequences that emerge from the current crisis of liberal democracies. Students will be able to analyze the role that Law plays within this economic and political scenario.
