This course, a design studio, is intended to develop students? skills in increasingly complex planning and architectural programming, as well as design techniques. The course is structured to allow students to investigate specific building site, determine appropriate program for a building, investigate site-specific issues, develop design concepts and schematic design documents, and incorporate sustainable design strategies. Students will learn about site analysis, planning and architectural programming, architectural design methods, sustainable design and energy efficiency measures, as well as novel ways to represent their architectural concepts and design.
