Communication 197T - ST-Adv Transfer Student Wrkshp

This course is a graded introduction to the Communication major, designed to welcome advanced transfer students into the program and address some of their specific needs. This course builds on prior college experiences and introduces students to resources for upper-level UMass Communication majors. Through class discussions, written assignments and guest speakers, this course will introduce you to the major's subject areas, the college and university's expectations, the field of Communication, and the opportunities in and around campus, including Honors, Internships, Community Service, Study Abroad, and Campus Media.

Open to junior Communication majors. This course will meet twice a week for the first six weeks of the fall 2018 semester. The last day of classes will be Monday, October 22.
