This course will combine learning about the experiences of lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, and other sexual and gender minoritized individuals (LGBTQ+) with the design and construction of computer programmable electronic light displays that reflect the students? course learning or personal experience. Particular attention will be given to examining the lives of LGBTQ+ people of color and LGBTQ+ people in science, technology, engineering, and math (STEM) fields. The course will provide an introduction to computer programming and electronics for students without requiring any prior background in these topics. (Gen. Ed. SI, DU)
