This course is designed to provide a basic understanding for the transport and deposition of sediments. Students in the honors colloquium will complete an additional field project where sediments are obtained from the field and analyzed in the lab. A formal presentation of the project results is also required at the end of the course. Students in the colloquium will meet for 3 hours every third week to obtain field data, process samples in the lab, synthesis data collected, and prepare results for both oral and written presentations. Students in the colloquium will also be required to attend topical lectures during the Geosciences Lecture Series.
Permission is required for interchange registration during the add/drop period only.
