Market structure models with application to various industries. Firm behavioral strategies under different market structures. The role of product differentiation, advertising, market power, mergers, barriers to entry, price and non-price rivalry. Market performance including prices, costs, profits, labor issues, and progressiveness. Students in the honors colloquium will further their analytical skills by discussing economic case analyses for several industries throughout the term.
Students must be enrolled in or have previously taken RES-ECON 452.

Students will meet for an additional 1 hour and 15 minutes each week at a time/day decided jointly by instructor and students.
Permission is required for interchange registration during the add/drop period only.
