An introduction to project management, focusing on the integration of business operations and information management, and the techniques to effectively manage the implementation of such projects.
Upon successful completion of this course, students will be able to:
1. Understand different project management techniques, terminology and trends
2. Define project success measures and methods
3. Understand and execute project management design and deployment
4. Understand and manage change in organizations
5. Identify and utilize key performance metrics
6. Improve quality, cost and efficiency with the project management process
7. Impart project management knowledge to your peers and colleagues
8. Implement negotiations techniques, including managing difficult people
9. Obtain basic proficiency in project scheduling using MS Project software
