IMPACT! is a service-learning RAP. Through this year-long program, you can learn how to make a positive impact on the larger community around UMass, and you can find a place for yourself as part of that community. (Gen.Ed SB, DU)
This course is open to IMPACT! RAP students in Melville Hall. This is first course in the yearlong IMPACT! Service-Learning RAP. The fall semester required course delves into social justice theory and awareness building through readings, activities, written reflections, mindfulness practice and dialogues. By the end of the semester students will have a greater self-awareness of how they fit into the diverse world community. Students explore the many ways that their service experience connects with their personal and academic lives. This is a designated service-learning course.
