The independent study format includes small group conversation sessions and an evaluation by an outside evaluator. Students studying Burmese develop speaking and listening skills needed for study abroad in Myanmar (Burma) and to support course work in Southeast Asian Studies.
Students must apply to add this course; contact the Five College Center for World Languages for details: fivecolleges.edu/fclang

Prerequisite: Burmese I-IV or the equivalent.
