Success in industrial and academic careers requires effective projects and project portfolio prioritization and execution. Effective project and portfolio management maximizes overall impact and value, ensures balanced financial delivery over time and maximizes timely execution of project deliverables. This course will employ case studies and discussion groups to introduce students to modern prioritization, portfolio management and project management techniques. Students will review real world examples, analyze and critique the approaches and review their findings in small discussion groups. The skills gained in this course will provide valuable background for both industrial and academic careers.
Open to CHEM-ENG Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students only.
Varies from 1 to 6 credits
