This course will examine perceptions of nature through multiple, diverse disciplinary and interdisciplinary lenses, including historical, anthropological, literary, political and psychological perspectives. Students will be introduced to and engage with a new perspective and/or topic related to humans' perceptions of nature. Using each disciplinary perspective as a lens, we will discuss the way nature has been presented and the ontological/epistemological bases of our understanding of nature.
