This course introduces the student to the basic principles of evolutionary and sociobiological theory in order to better understand the evolution of brain and behavior of modern humans. We will cover selective forces influencing Hominin evolution, brain development, mating systems, mate choice, cooperation, altruism, attachment, cognition and communication using a broad comparative and phylogenetic approach.
Psych 335 is a recommended prerequisite
