Continuation of THEATER 362. Costume design theory, conceptualization, and solution of related problems. Design projects, concept papers, journal, sketch book, and appropriate design work for department productions. Prerequisites: 300-level theater courses or equivalent, consent of instructor. May be repeated for credit. Satisfies the Integrative Experience requirement for BA-Theatr majors.
Open to students majoring or minoring in Theater. Pre Req: THEATER 362 SPECIAL TOPIC - Mask Making. In mask making the student will be introduced to the art and craft of making mask using the products thermoplastic, liquid latex and other principle mediums. The student will have the unique experience to choose their own projects. During the semester, the students will create a plaster face cast, learn to sculpt in ?wet clay?, form the mask in thermoplastic, and prepare the mask to be worn while learning the basic elements of design: line, proportion, balance, mass.
