This 3-credit, year-long independent study allows students in environmental conservation and civil and environmental engineering to participate in technical teams for the removal of dams in Massachusetts. The class is led by instructors in both ECO and Engineering. Students will participate in site visits, team meetings and calls, and review technical products for that team. There will be biweekly class meetings where instructors and guest lecturers provide background about the dam removal process. Students will participate over two semesters and develop their own independent projects.
