Computer Science H345 - Pract & App/Data Mgmt (colloq)

Data is a core part of most modern applications. This honors course will focus on student-driven, in-depth study of fundamental topics in data management. Topics will include: remote access and security of online database systems, design and implementation of full-scale database-driven systems, and societal issues associated with data, such as ethics and fairness in a Big Data era.

Open to seniors and juniors in Commonwealth Honors College majoring in Computer Science or Informatics. COMPSCI 187/186/INFO 248 w/ C NO OPTION FOR PASS/FAIL.
