Introduction to the economics of markets and market economies. Basic concepts of demand, supply, production, prices, allocation of resources, and distribution of income. Public policy applications. (Gen.Ed. SB)

Open to first year students in Isenberg Fellows RAPs in Pierpont and Cance. This course has been approved by the university to contain remote components. Please contact instructor for details.

Econ 103-05 is blended with Econ 103-02, 103-03, 103-04, 103-06.. Econ 103-02 meets Mondays in Mahar 108 and will have access to online videos of the Wednesday lectures. Econ 103-03, 103-04, 103-05, 103-06 meet Wednesdays in Mahar 108 and will have access to online videos of the Monday lectures. Students will meet in a weekly discussion section as well.

NOTE: this class is set up with cameras and audio recording for Lecture Capture.

The lecture and discussion sections of this course can not be overridden. Students can enroll only through SPIRE into open sections, up to the capacity listen in SPIRE. There is no override process for this course.

Multiple required components--lab and/or discussion section. To register, submit requests for all components simultaneously.
