English as a Second Language 296 - Independent Study

An undergraduate or graduate UMA student who is a non-native speaker of English may enroll in an Independent Study for 1-4 credits on a specific topic of study with an English as a Second Language Program instructor during the fall or spring semesters. However, the student must seek the approval of the selected instructor, who enrolls the student during the Add/Drop period. The ESL Program policy is that students cannot enroll themselves in Independent Studies.
