Do you want to live long and prosper? Well, foods and diets are the easiest thing to change, yet one of the most impactful factors to your health. Are you curious about how different diets affect our bodies? Do you know how various vitamins, minerals, fats, proteins, and carbohydrates influence our body? Are you interested in finding out what is really in your food? Would you like to learn how scientists study food, and why the dietary advice we get changes over time? Well then, you just found the perfect class! Hop on this journey to discover what you can do to be more healthy! In this course, you will have a chance to talk about various ingredients and nutrients in our diet, decipher food labels, and share your thoughts on different diets and their mechanisms.
Open to Natural Sciences Freshman with a declared major or on the Natural Sciences Exploratory Track.
