Are you terrified of bugs? How are bugs essential for the planet? These little critters are everywhere; for every human on this planet, there are about 1.4 billion bugs! Insects make our world more interesting, painting it with stunning colors and lots of shapes. They pollinate most of our fruits and vegetables, are impressive recyclers, and regulate invasive plants and pest insects. These are only some of the multiple services they provide to the world. Join me for diving into the vibrant world of bugs, and we will learn how they are critical for the planet and how their decline threatens our future. Let's find inspiration together, exploring their immense diversity in order to understand what the insect apocalypse is and why it matters.
Open to Natural Sciences Freshman with a declared major or on the Natural Sciences Exploratory Track.
