A rigorous introductory course in principles of mechanics with emphasis on motion of objects (kinematics), forces, rotation, momentum, energy conservation, and analytical methods to solve physical problems.

ASTRON & PHYSICS majors and minors. Restricted to Physics Majors and Astronomy Majors. All other majors need permission of Instructor. An optional honors colloquium is available for this course. Co-Requisite: MATH 131.

Multiple required components--lab and/or discussion section. To register, submit requests for all components simultaneously.
Permission is required for interchange registration during the add/drop period only.
