Is housing a right? If housing is a right, then should the government ensure that all persons?regardless of their race, creed, gender, sexual orientation, age, income, or household size?receive the necessary and sufficient delivery of this public or private good? However, if housing is not a right, then what is the proper role of government in our capitalist society? In this course, we will focus on the development housing policy in the United States and examine the national, state, and local delivery of this public or private good. Because this course is situated within the Regional Planning program, we will also examine the implementation of housing policy in Massachusetts.
