Numerical solution of mathematical models for chemical engineering systems in MATLAB. Model types include algebraic systems, ordinary differential equation systems, differential-algebraic equation systems, partial differential equations, linear programs and nonlinear programs. Formal lectures will be restricted to recitation sessions and regular sessions will be used to solve specific models within a collaborative environment.
Open to CHEM-ENG Juniors, Seniors, and Graduate students only. CHEM-ENG 231 and 320
Multiple required components--lab and/or discussion section. To register, submit requests for all components simultaneously.
Permission is required for interchange registration during the add/drop period only.
