A brief introduction to the Python programming language for students with a working knowledge of basic programming concepts. This course is geared towards introductory data science and analytics tasks, and is intended for Informatics majors.
Open to INFORM majors. Pre Req: COMPSCI 121 w/C AFTER INFORM MAJORS HAVE ENROLLED, INSTRUCTOR PLANS TO OPEN 197P TO NON-CS MAJORS, IF AVAILABLE SEATS. BEFORE SUBMITTING OVERRIDE, TRY TO SELF-ENROLL BETWEEN NOVEMBER 18-30. STUDENTS NEEDING SPECIAL PERMISSION MUST REQUEST OVERRIDES VIA THE ON-LINE FORM: https://www.cics.umass.edu/overrides.
