A rigorous introductory course in electricity and magnetism with emphasis on electrostatics, currents, circuits, magnetic fields and magnetic induction, ending with Maxwell's equations. For Physics and Astronomy majors. An optional honors colloquium is available for this course. (Gen. Ed. PS)
Open to ASTRON and PHYSICS freshman majors and minors. PHYSICS 131, 151, or 181 An optional honors colloquium is available for this course.
Restricted to Physics Majors and Astronomy Majors. All other majors need permission of Instructor
Multiple required components--lab and/or discussion section. To register, submit requests for all components simultaneously.
Permission is required for interchange registration during the add/drop period only.
