This course is designed to help students meet the demand for effective writing and speaking skills in the professional workplace. Topics include rhetorical considerations involving audience and purpose, writing style and tone, organizational strategies, research skills, evidence-based writing, and page design, along with assignments in professional correspondence, report writing, and public speaking and visual aids. This course satisfies the University's junior year writing requirement.

This course is open to Juniors & Seniors with majors in the Isenberg School of Management. Pre Req: ENGLWRIT112,113 or CW This course is a hybrid with 50-minute, in-person class meetings on Mondays and Wednesdays. There is no in-person or online attendance required on Fridays. The online component of the course is asynchronous and takes place between the end of class on Wednesdays and the start of class on Mondays.

Once the course reaches enrollment capacity the course is full. Overrides are not available for this course. If you are a spring 2018, summer 2018, or a fall 2019 graduate and cannot enroll in SCH-MGMT 310 please contact Meghan Smith at msmith@isenberg.umass.edu or 413-577-4408.
