The course engages with the idea of `water wars? and uses it as a vantage point to discuss the politics of transboundary river water sharing and the makings of conflict or cooperation over shared waters between territorial entities. It aims at developing a deeper understanding of the anatomy of transboundary water sharing. With the support of empirical material from diverse settings, the course offers opportunities to deliberate and discuss the possible policy and institutional responses to address the challenge of transboundary river water governance.
