This course examines the analysis and design of offshore structures within the theme of offshore renewable energy development, particularly offshore wind energy. Students will learn to determine loads generated by offshore environmental conditions, analyze structural response to these loads and design structural systems to resist them. Structures will include fixed-bottom and floating systems and include mooring and anchoring considerations for floating systems.
