Continuation of CHINESE 120 or 126. Further developing aural-oral skills in modern standard Chinese (Mandarin). Focus gradually shifts toward reading and writing. Introduces the next 400 characters in simplified form, principles of character simplification, and the use of Chinese-English dictionaries.
