College of Inform & Comp Sci 291S - S- CICS Second Year Pathways

This seminar will give students the opportunity to learn more about the different areas and career pathways in computer science, through guest lectures by professors and grad students, reading research papers, and coordination with CICS Careers. It is intended to be taken alongside any COMPSCI 200-level core course.

Open to Computer Science sophomores. COMPSCI 187 w/C CS MAJORS MUST EITHER HAVE TAKEN/ARE TAKING AT LEAST ONE CS 200-LEVEL CORE TO BE ELIGIBLE. NON-CS MAJORS WHO HAVE TAKEN/ARE TAKING AT LEAST 2 200-LEVEL CS CORE WILL BE CONSIDERED IF AVAILABLE SEATS. THIS COURSE IS INTENDED FOR STUDENTS IN THEIR 3RD OR 4TH SEMESTER AT UMASS.
