This course is the first in a two-part sequence aimed at providing MFAs in Dramaturgy, Directing, and Design with an understanding of theatre history, theatrical texts, and dramatic practices: Part I covers the ancients through the Renaissance from a global perspective; Part II covers neoclassicism through the contemporary moment.

Open to Graduate Theater students only.
