This seminar is designed to welcome international undergraduate students who have never studied in the USA into the UMass Amherst community. It will provide students with tools and strategies for a smooth transition to the campus and for building a foundation for a successful academic experience. Students will engage in conversations and activities related to cultural differences and will have a structured opportunity to ask questions. Additionally, students will be introduced to a number of campus offices, programs, and resources which will help them to thrive in academic as well as social aspects of life as a UMass Amherst student. Equally as important as the topics studied will be the students? engagement in an assortment of group activities aimed to develop mastery of a variety of personal well-being and academic skills critical for success in college.
This class is offered in face to face format only.
