Course taught in French. Conversation practice on assigned topics. Dictation of prepared texts to improve listening comprehension. Recitation of short passages of French poetry and prose to improve pronunciation. Prerequisites: Completion of a French 240 level course.

"This advanced conversation class aims at improving students' listening and speaking skills through in class discussions and with home assignments. In this course, we are going to listen to a variety of podcasts and watch a wide range of videos tackling different subjects regarding French culture, from education to gastronomy to literature to minorities. After the viewing or listening, the different themes will be discussed in class through mini-projects and presentations in groups. It will be asked of the students to engage in critical thinking in class and at home to demonstrate knowledge of French culture and an adequate command of the language."
