Focus on how public policies are made in the U.S., including the role of citizens, interest groups, and government institutions. Emphasis on the processes by which policies are made in various institutions, including the Presidency, Congress, bureaucracy, and courts. Examples cover numerous public policies, such as campaign finance reform, foreign policy, and the environment. (Gen.Ed. SB)

There are 25 seats reserved for Public Policy majors. If SPIRE does not allow you to add this class and you are NOT a Public Policy major, please check back after January 17th after our incoming transfer students have registered. Any remaining open seats will be released at that time. If you are (or plan to be) a Public Policy major and are unable to add the class, please contact the Public Policy undergrad office for an override.
