With lab. Introduction to the greenhouse environment and the technology used in production of greenhouse crops. Greenhouse experiments in crop production; exercises on greenhouse structures, heating and cooling, growing media, crop nutrition, photoperiod control and lighting, and crop scheduling; field trip to local greenhouses. Prerequisite: BIOLOGY 103 or equivalent.
Open to AS-HORTI, AS-FRVEG, BS-SUSTFD, BS-SUSTHRT & PLSOILIN majors only. Students must have taken or be concurrently enrolled in STOCKSCH 108 (formerly PLSOILIN 102).
Students in programs other than -HORTI, AS-FRVEG, BS-SUSTFFD, BS-SUSTHRT, or PLNTSOIL may seek permission of instructor to enroll.
Multiple required components--lab and/or discussion section. To register, submit requests for all components simultaneously.
