Description: What makes National Parks special? How did they come to exist? What does their protection mean to the unique ecosystems within them? Come along on a journey through America's natural wonders as we dive into the stories, science, and challenges of its beloved National Parks. We will explore the history, science, and conservation of these iconic landscapes, from the forces that shaped them to the ongoing efforts to protect and preserve them for generations to come. Throughout our exploration, we'll learn about the geological processes that formed these parks, from ancient glaciers to volcanic eruptions. We'll also discover the rich biodiversity and historical significance of these special places.
When we're not chatting about the many amazing parks in the American landscape, we will have group discussions focused on helping you navigate your first year of college. We will go over support resources for student success and wellbeing, tips for the challenges of being away from home, and the many groups and activities available on campus.
