This seminar will support your transition to college and introduce you to a topic in engineering. The course will be an exploration of an exciting engineering-related topic of societal impact. This seminar will also introduce basic skills and available resources skills for life as a college student.

First-year (R1ST) Topic: It?s the small things that count: Exploring micro- and nanotechnology in biology and medicine
This course aims to provide students with an overview of micro- and nanotechnology and their application to biomedical problems, including targeted drug delivery, regenerative medicine, and personalized medicine. Through a series of discussions and hands-on projects, students will gain an understanding of how materials behave differently at the micro and nanoscale and the various techniques used to manipulate and characterize these tiny materials.
