This seminar will support your transition to college and introduce you to a topic in engineering. The course will be an exploration of an exciting engineering-related topic of societal impact. This seminar will also introduce basic skills and available resources skills for life as a college student.
First-year (R1ST) Topic: Mastering Excel for Engineering Study and Beyond
This course is designed to teach how to effectively use Excel for engineering-related tasks. It will start from Excel basics and move to advanced functions with engineering applications. Students can get a sense of how Excel is widely used in academia and industry as a powerful tool for calculation, modeling and visualization. The objective of the class is to boost engineering studies and career prospects by introducing excel as an overarching skill with hands-on experiences.
