This seminar will support your transition to college and introduce you to a topic in engineering. The course will be an exploration of an exciting engineering-related topic of societal impact. This seminar will also introduce basic skills and available resources skills for life as a college student.

First-year (R1ST) Topic: Implantable Biomedical Microsystems
This course offers an exploration of implantable biomedical microsystems, bridging the gap between engineering and healthcare. It covers the design, fabrication, and practical applications of miniature devices intended for implantation in the human body to monitor, diagnose, and treat various health conditions. Students will thoroughly understand both the challenges and the potential of this field of study, encouraging innovation and the advancement of medical technology.
