Students will identify ways to incorporate personal interests with academic interests.
Open to first-year SBS majors only. First-year (R1ST) Topic: College Compass: Navigating Your First Year
There's more than one way to find success in college and the path to getting there is different for every student. The goal of this course is to connect with fellow first year students, your instructor, and campus guests, as you become a contributing member of the community, both at UMass and beyond. In addition, we will start thinking about your individual goals and interests and pathways toward achieving them; explore the different majors in the College of Social and Behavioral Sciences and navigating UMass as a whole.
